TraumaWise Ministry

For those who care for souls, and need care, too.

You lead, serve, and show up for people in their hardest seasons. Some weeks you're holding grief, conflict, and crisis for others, with little room left for your own.

TraumaWise Ministry is for pastors, ministry leaders, chaplains, church staff, and the volunteers who keep everything running. If you've wondered how your church can become a place where hurting people feel safe enough to stay, you're in the right place.

What we believe about ministry

Three ideas sit underneath everything we do:

Felt-Safety

People can't receive care until they feel safe in the room. A welcome that feels safe says more than any sermon.

Connection

Belonging heals. Your faith community is often the first place someone tries to trust people again.

Co-Regulation

Your steadiness is a ministry in itself. When leaders are cared for, the whole community breathes easier.

Burnout in ministry isn't a lack of faith. It's often a systems problem, and systems can change.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Try this before your next gathering

Before people arrive, walk in through your own front door as if it's your first visit. Notice one thing a newcomer might find confusing or overwhelming, and change just that one thing. Felt-safety starts at the door.

TraumaWise also offers training for church staff and volunteers.

Right now, it's a quiet, welcoming place to connect with others in ministry and to be the first to hear what's coming. We're building it together, and early members help shape what it becomes.
